Reasons Why You Need A Filipino Boyfriend In Your Life
Filipinos make up the third largest ethnic demographic in Canada, and surpass both Indians and the Chinese as the primary source of new immigrants to the country. They’re especially plentiful in Toronto, with Filipino communities and establishments present in almost every major area of the city. In my opinion, they’re great people to be friends with, and even better to date.
It’s common for people to have a reluctance towards dating outside of one’s own culture. However, with a little bit of faith, one may find that dating someone of a different background is actually a very exciting and refreshing experience. Here are 10 reasons why I think you’d enjoy having a Filipino boyfriend:
1. You’ll have unlimited access to amazing Filipino food.
Because everything his mom makes is always tasty (even if it’s just spam and rice).
2. He’ll always treat you with the utmost hospitality.
Hospitality is a Filipino’s “thing“.
3. You’ll have gorgeous babies together (if it ever gets to that point).
Mixed or not, they’ll turn out to be beautiful bundles of joy.
4. He’ll always be down to go out.
Especially for karaoke.
5. You’ll be a part of his extensive family almost instantly.
Been dating for only two days? You’re already family.
6. He’ll treat your parents and relatives with respect.
It’s just Filipino nature.
7. You’ll never see him slack on his fashion game.
Filipino guys tend to be relatively image-conscious, so you’ll always look good together.
8. He’ll teach you unique ways to communicate.
You’ll make it a habit to point your lips at things.
9. You’ll learn quirky ways to live frugally from him.
Like cutting your paper towel rolls in half or diluting an almost-empty bottle of liquid soap.
10. He’ll teach you to eat the weirdest (but mindblowingly tasty) combinations of food.
You’ll be pouring coffee into your rice in no time.
11. You’ll get to learn what all of these really mean.
You know, in case you’ve ever wondered.
And a #12 on the side: you get to date guys like me! *wink* #bruh

This Man Stopped Watching Porn And Now He Is Much Happier. This Is Why.
Let’s be real, the way sex is portrayed in porn isn’t the reality of what sex actually is. Most penises aren’t that big, men don’t have eternal erections, and most women don’t like doggy style that much.
During a recent TED Talk, Ran Gavrieli illustrates his view on why the porn industry is detrimental to our well being and demonstrates how our minds become warped when we allow porn to determine the nature of our own fantasies.
“After making a habit out of porn, it conquers your mind, it invades your brain. I lost my ability to imagine. I found myself trying to fantasize desperately about something human and not being able to, because my head was bombarded by all of those images of women being violated and subordinated.”-Ran Gravrieli
This man urges us to pay attention to the nutrition of our minds because he believes porn has an addictive and paralyzing effect on both men and women. He doesn’t simply see porn as a form of freedom of expression, he views it as an embodiment of sexual exploitation. Ran refers to porn as ‘filmed prostitution’ and says that prostitution is no child’s dream and that it is always a result of trouble and distress. Ran gradually became aware of this exploitation when he volunteered to help men and women in the prostitution industry.
During his TED talk, we are reminded that the porn industry has a multitude of categories to choose from, no matter how twisted they may be. You can find anything from ‘rape’ to ‘humiliation,’ from ‘abuse’ to ‘minors’. Where there is demand, there is supply, even if it means trafficking under-aged girls.
“Porn is not about erotica or healthy sexual communication. It is all about male domination of women and the subordinance of women.”-Ran Gavrieli

Ran does not believe that porn is how human beings authentically desire sex. He stopped watching porn for his own personal well being in order to engage in intimate communication in his private life, and to reclaim control and responsibility over his own mind. By doing so, he has stopped contributing to the gruesome sex industry.
“I stopped watching porn for two reasons: The first was that porn brought so much anger and violence into my private fantasies and the second was that I came to realize that by watching porn, I take part in creating a demand for filmed prostitution.”-Ran Gavrieli
It isn’t just the women that Ran is taking a stand for, he also talks about how porn creates insecurities for men. Men are valued by the size of their penis and long lasting erection, and young men often become imitators what they see.
Ran is all about sexual freedom and is not pleading for us all to become conservative prudes, he simply believes in promoting emotional safe sex. He says, he doesn’t care how long two people know each other for, but if they can’t have a laugh together, then what good can come?
“If two souls are alone in a room and they have not managed to have a laugh together, what good could possibly grow sexual or non sexual?”-Ran Gravrieli
Watching porn has become a societal norm and many view porn as a harmless and healthy way to engage in satisfying sexual desires. Working in the sex industry is a choice, but it’s important that we pay attention to where that decision stems from, as well as how porn effects our perception of healthy sex, for both the body and mind.
“Silence never does us any good, silence only perpetuates more silence. Talking brings more awareness and change.”-Ran Gavrieli

Size does matter
Amsterdam, The NetherlandsThe length of his penis is key to a homosexual man's self esteem and how he sees his body in general, according to a recent Dutch study undertaken at Utrecht University.
The majority of gay men regard a large sexual organ as ideal, and having one is linked to self-esteem, Liesbeth Woertman, a senior lecturer in clinical psychology, has found.
Woertman, a psychologist and sexologist, surveyed 251 gay men with an average age of 29 together with a colleague specialising in social and organisational psychology.
"Our study reveals that how gay men see their penis has considerable influence on how they value themselves in general," Woertman said.
"It
is not known whether if there is a similar link in heterosexual men,
but there are various reasons for assuming that the self-image of
heterosexual men is linked to how they evaluate the most
characteristically masculine part of their body," she added. The men surveyed said their penises were the most attractive parts of their body, followed by their stomachs and their skin.
Woertman has previously confirmed that gay men spend more time, money and effort on their appearance than straight men.
She offers as one explanation that gay men are sex objects for men.
The psychologist believes that, despite the derogatory remarks, gay and straight men differ little from each other, and that their attitudes are converging regarding appearance.
This is because women are increasingly seeing men as sex objects, she believes.
"Appearance has thus become more important for the straight man," she said, calling for more research into how heterosexual men see their bodies.
She suspects that contemporary men are less satisfied with their appearance than earlier generations. - Sapa-DPA
